Staying in a meticulously restored 19th-century tower perched high above the Mani coastline felt like being let in on Greece’s best-kept secret. The balance between historical preservation and raw luxury is breathtaking. Words cannot describe the beauty of waking up to sweeping, unobstructed views of the deep blue sea colliding with the Taygetos mountains. The property’s crown jewel is easily the cliffside infinity plunge pool. The never-ending, multi-course breakfast spreads redefined morning dining for us. What makes this hotel truly special is the proprietor, Kostas, and his staff. They set the bar for hospitality, and you can tell they all care deeply about giving guests an exceptional experience. Die Kombination aus historischen Elementen, hochwertigen Materialien und moderner, zurückhaltender Gestaltung ist wirklich beeindruckend – hier kommen Auge und Seele gleichermaßen zur Ruhe. Dazu kommt die fantastische Lage: Von der Anlage aus hat man einen atemberaubenden Blick über das Meer und die beeindruckende Küstenlinie der Mani. Das mehrgängige Frühstück variiert täglich und ist wunderbar auf regionale Produkte und Slow Food ausgerichtet. Kostas takes his architecture expertise to a whole new level -from revamping and restoring and ingeniously installing several beautiful apartments and the main kitchen in his restored Maniot Tower with sensational grounds all so beautifully terraced to complement the period style. His lighting and furniture design is unbelievable. most of all his special and wonderful hospitality delighted us in every possible way . HIs complete commitment to his guests happiness is evident in every way . A large well thought out seasonal menu designed by his sifnos friend and restauranteur george (of omega 3 sifnos ) was excellent ! we only ate at the hotel the entire time it was superb and each night a special dessert was given to the guests as well . Kostas’ leisurely delicious Full breakfasts insured that we could hike and swim around all day before returning for spectacular sunset dining. His wine list was ingeniously aligned from top to bottom -from north to south -from mainland Greece to Crete and Every bottle was an adventure! His knowledge of wines was a delight to learn about and taste . Tucked high above the Mani coastline in a beautifully restored 19th-century tower, the property feels like a hidden world of its own. The infinity plunge pool, perched right on the cliffside, was undoubtedly one of our favourite parts of the retreat, with breathtaking views across the endless blue of the sea. Our Tower Room was an experience in itself. Reaching it by climbing the winding stairs only added to the charm and made the room feel like our own little hideaway. Despite its unique character, it was surprisingly spacious and incredibly cosy, with a charming private balcony that quickly became our favourite spot for enjoying our morning coffee. Everything was immaculate, with the room being beautifully refreshed every day and a thoughtful evening turndown service each night. Coming back to find delicious chocolates waiting on the table was such a lovely touch. And the bathroom was something truly special — soaking in the bathtub while watching the sunset through the window. Breakfast was a beautifully presented feast, while the evening meals showcased modern interpretations of traditional Maniot cuisine. Every dish felt thoughtful, fresh and full of local character, and the quality was exceptional. What truly made our stay special, though, was the people. Kostas and his wonderful team have created something far beyond a boutique hotel. They have an incredible ability to anticipate what you need while still making everything feel effortless and personal.
