his restored Maniot Tower \nwith sensational grounds all\n so beautifully terraced to complement the period style. \nHis lighting and furniture design is unbelievable. \n\nmost of all his special and wonderful\nhospitality delighted us in every possible way . HIs complete commitment to his  guests happiness \nis evident in every way . \n\nA large well thought out seasonal menu designed by his sifnos friend and restauranteur george (of omega 3 sifnos ) was excellent !\nwe only ate at the hotel the entire time it was superb and each night a special dessert was given to the guests as well .\n\nKostas\u2019 leisurely delicious Full  breakfasts insured that we could hike and swim around all day before returning for spectacular sunset dining. \n\nHis wine list was ingeniously aligned from top to bottom -from north to south -from mainland Greece to Crete and Every bottle was an adventure! Tucked high above the Mani coastline in a beautifully restored 19th-century tower, the property feels like a hidden world of its own. It manages to preserve the character and history of the building while offering an incredible level of comfort and luxury.\n\nThe setting is simply spectacular. The infinity plunge pool, perched right on the cliffside, was undoubtedly one of our favourite parts of the retreat, with breathtaking views across the endless blue of the sea.\n\nOur Tower Room was an experience in itself. Reaching it by climbing the winding stairs only added to the charm and made the room feel like our own little hideaway. Despite its unique character, it was surprisingly spacious and incredibly cosy, with a charming private balcony that quickly became our favourite spot for enjoying our morning coffee. Everything was immaculate, with the room being beautifully refreshed every day and a thoughtful evening turndown service each night. \nComing back to find delicious chocolates waiting on the table was such a lovely touch. And the bathroom was something truly special \u2014 soaking in the bathtub while watching the sunset through the window. \n\nBreakfast was a beautifully presented feast, while the evening meals showcased modern interpretations of traditional Maniot cuisine. Every dish felt thoughtful, fresh and full of local character, and the quality was exceptional.\n\nWhat truly made our stay special, though, was the people. Kostas and his wonderful team have created something far beyond a boutique hotel. They have an incredible ability to anticipate what you need while still making everything feel effortless and personal. Their warmth, attention to detail and genuine passion for hospitality made us feel incredibly well cared for throughout our stay.\n\nTainaron Blue Retreat is the kind of place that stays with you long Nur vier Wohneinheiten, ein wundersch\u00f6ner Infinity-Pool und verschiedene, sehr \u00e4sthetische Sitz- und Liegebereiche schaffen eine Atmosph\u00e4re, in der man sofort zur Ruhe kommt. Die Kombination aus historischen Elementen, hochwertigen Materialien und moderner, zur\u00fcckhaltender Gestaltung ist wirklich beeindruckend \u2013 hier kommen Auge und Seele gleicherma\u00dfen zur Ruhe.\n\nDazu kommt die fantastische Lage: Von der Anlage aus hat man einen atemberaubenden Blick \u00fcber das Meer und die beeindruckende K\u00fcstenlinie der Mani. Gerade die Weite und die wilde Landschaft machen diesen Ort so besonders.\n\nAuch kulinarisch wurden wir jeden Tag aufs Neue begeistert. Das mehrg\u00e4ngige Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck variiert t\u00e4glich und ist wunderbar auf regionale Produkte und Slow Food ausgerichtet. Auch die M\u00f6glichkeit, abends im Hotel zu essen, haben wir sehr gerne genutzt \u2013 eine sch\u00f6ne Auswahl, hervorragende Produkte und eine ausgesprochen feine Zubereitung.\n\nUnd dann sind da die vielen kleinen Besonderheiten, die den Aufenthalt perfekt machen: Abends warteten Pralinen als Betthupferl auf uns, das Zimmer wurde noch einmal f\u00fcr die Nacht hergerichtet und Kostas gab uns wunderbare, ganz individuelle Tipps f\u00fcr Ausfl\u00fcge und Restaurants.\n\nKostas ist dabei ein perfekter Gastgeber: aufmerksam und pr\u00e4sent, wenn man ihn braucht, gleichzeitig aber angenehm diskret und nie aufdringlich. They set the bar for hospitality, and you can tell they all care deeply about giving guests an exceptional experience. Kostas's recommendations were spot on. The small size also made for a warm atmosphere, and we made friends with other guests.\n\nThe food is excellent too. Die Kombination aus historischen Elementen, hochwertigen Materialien und moderner, zur\u00fcckhaltender Gestaltung ist wirklich beeindruckend \u2013 hier kommen Auge und Seele gleicherma\u00dfen zur Ruhe.\n\nDazu kommt die fantastische Lage: Von der Anlage aus hat man einen atemberaubenden Blick \u00fcber das Meer und die beeindruckende K\u00fcstenlinie der Mani. Gerade die Weite und die wilde Landschaft machen diesen Ort so besonders.\n\nAuch kulinarisch wurden wir jeden Tag aufs Neue begeistert. Das mehrg\u00e4ngige Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck variiert t\u00e4glich und ist wunderbar auf regionale Produkte und Slow Food ausgerichtet. Auch die M\u00f6glichkeit, abends im Hotel zu essen, haben wir sehr gerne genutzt \u2013 eine sch\u00f6ne Auswahl, hervorragende Produkte und eine ausgesprochen feine Zubereitung.\n\nUnd dann sind da die vielen kleinen Besonderheiten, die den Aufenthalt perfekt machen: Abends warteten Pralinen als Betthupferl auf uns, das Zimmer wurde noch einmal f\u00fcr die Nacht hergerichtet und Kostas gab uns wunderbare, ganz individuelle Tipps f\u00fcr Ausfl\u00fcge und Restaurants.\n\nKostas ist dabei ein perfekter Gastgeber: aufmerksam und pr\u00e4sent, wenn man ihn braucht, gleichzeitig aber angenehm diskret und nie aufdringlich. The setting is beautiful, with stunning sea views and a real sense of peace and seclusion. The food was excellent throughout our stay, and the wine list deserves a special mention. The impressive selection of Greek wines made every meal even more enjoyable. Kostas was a wonderful host and made us feel genuinely welcome. We had the tower room, which has a unique charm and character, although the staircase is quite steep and narrow. You are so lovingly looked after and cared for by Kostas and his team that you really do not want to be anywhere else. The defensive tower was converted into a great hotel with great attention to detail. You can also notice just as much love in the selection and preparation of the food. It does not matter whether it is the multi-course breakfast or the dinner. The great wine list with a focus on Greece also fits perfectly. The tower is unique; the room in the tower has been thoughtfully designed - be prepared for a climb! - and is very comfortable. The terrace is a haven of tranquility with shade, views and the sounds of nature. The view from the plunge pool is amazing. The hospitality offered is first class. The breakfasts are sumptuous and the dinners are delicious. Everything is prepared with care and attention to provenance and presentation. Kostas is a terrific host passionate about the guests\u2019 experience and comfort. The location at the end of the Mani peninsula is breathtaking - you feel the power of history, the rugged land and the relentless sea - but it\u2019s utterly tranquil too. We could have spent the whole time just gazing. The retreat itself is wonderful - beautifully restored and stylish without being jarring. Every little detail carefully chosen and deeply appreciated. And to food! We were amazed by the selection and quality of what we were served. Delicious and beautifully presented. Our room was suitably unique - bags of style which made the best of the Mani tower limitations. Kostas proved a great host - generous with his advice about the local area and diligent in maintaining an atmosphere of calm relaxation. We couldn't have asked for more. The place is beautiful, set on a cliff with the most incredible view of the sea. Sitting by the infinity pool just looking out at it... that alone is worth the trip. Kostas took such good care of us. Personal attention, great recommendations, and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was incredible, generous and honestly the best we've had. We also had dinner one evening which was wonderful and really added to the whole experience. The entire team is lovely and professional. We're already waiting to come back. However, regarding the 'Tainaron Blue', I feel it is almost a duty to speak about this extraordinary place. It is not an ordinary hotel, but an authentic Maniot tower that has been restored with great respect for its original architecture. It is located in the middle of nowhere in the laconic Mani, where one no longer knows where the dream ends and reality begins. The hospitable owner Kostas has created something amazing. With passion and dedication, he has restored this traditional tower and transformed it into a beautiful guesthouse with only four rooms. From there, one enjoys a fantastic view of the sea. The lovely outdoor area with its olive trees invites you to enjoy an excellent Greek breakfast, have an afternoon aperitif next to the small, charming pool where swallows chirp while drinking water, and experience an outstanding dinner in the evening. The dishes are created by a renowned Greek chef and impeccably served by the friendly staff. However, all of this would only be half as valuable without the presence of the host Kostas. With his warmth, kindness, and always friendly smile, he ensures that you feel at home from the very first moment. I have been coming here for many consecutive summers and will continue to return as long as I can. It is a unique place where one completely forgets everyday life.
